Love isn’t being incapable of imagining yourself with anyone else, it’s doing it, and feeling this sense of disconnection from the world. Like sitting in a dark room with only the light from a television. Like a house with no molding. Like you will always be Waiting for Godot..

FINALS. D:

My brother made a stencil. I bought spray paint. Cut a shirt.

Oh, hello, obscure crop top!

There is fate. But it only takes you so far, because once you’re there, it’s up to you to make it happen.
Can’t Hardly Wait

(Warning: This post contains.. well, mostly me just flailing about, and to make matters better, my camera was dead so I had to resort to webcam.)

Anyway, let me start with one word: Kimonos!

I’ve gotten a couple from my mom that she bought in the eighties, such as this sheer, colorful, floral one. Obviously it’s getting warmer outside, but this kimono is so light and airy it doesn’t matter. The polyester is so nice and thin that I am able to partially tuck it in without it looking awkward. The kimono also adds just the right amount of pop that can flatter almost any slightly dull spring/summer outfit (plus it beats having to wear a scarf as your vibrant color source.) I know this all too well.

The brown and creme fringe kimono is one-hundred percent silk, hand-embroied, and absolutely stunning. It’s the perfect bathing suit coverup. Unfortunately, I have no idea from where it came.

The last one is from Forever 21. I like the length and the design of the pattern. The fabric is also very comfortable. Oh, and that’s a hair barrette I made a couple of years ago from feathers and jewel I couldn’t help but rip off a candlestick. Heh!

Have a great one, guys!

This is a necklace I made from the shells of Gulf Shores, Alabama and a leather strap that used to serve as a shoelace. Honestly, it’s my most worn and beloved piece of jewelry. Every time someone someone compliments it, it’s pretty much the equivalent of having my heart caressed. Heh..

Goodwill is ballin’ this time of year, Lil’ Mamas!

  • Jones New York baby blue pants- $3.00
  • Michael Kors leopard belt- $15.00
  • The Loft floral skirt- $3.00

Seriously, it does not get much better for that little.

These are all just essential pieces, especially the Jones New York pants. Pastels! Pastels! Pastels! I also love my black and white sheer button-down; definitely a staple item. Very happy with this goodwill trip.

hey, im going to start doing makeup reviews, i really like your ones!! do you have any tips on how to get going:) love liyanxo

Aw, thank you, sweetheart. I think the main thing is to try out different things. I mean, there are so many quality products out there that go unnoticed because they’re not our traditional go-to brands. It’s all a matter of discovering them. Remember: There are just as many underrated products as there are overrated. That’s at least something I’ve been working on. But if it’s any consolation, your first MAC foundation review was great, girl! Just keep it up! <3

Glorious.

A stormy Wednesday morning, curled up with My So-Called Life and an expresso.

It’s at this moment that I realize that staying up all night was well-worth the dark circles.

Spring’n things!

Review: MAC False Lashes Extreme Black mascara

So, I bought this product about a month ago, and I really liked when I first tried it at the store. At first. After a month of hoping the formula just needed to dry a little before it unleashed its magic, the product has yet to deliver. In fact, I’m tempted to go to CVS and buy a better mascara  that’s half the price. It’s not the worst mascara ever (/cough Rimmel Day to Night) but it’s just not worth the $16.

So, I’m still on the hunt for a quality mascara. I am curious about Max Factor’s 2000 calorie, though. Any suggestions? It would be much appreciated.
