Panty Grenade- a dirty underwear rolled into a tight ball. Specifically, it’s thrown from the bathroom as one hops into the shower.
I’m reading Silence of the Lambs, so I obviously felt compelled to make this.
Badlands, South Dakota
Summer Horderves in Purses and a Pair of Sandals

My wonderful friend Anthony gave me the handbag. He’s too good!
When you have friends like these… who needs any other friends?
This is the official I am out of the dorm and living in an apartment post.
Pillows- World Market
Rug- Urban Outfitters
So, basically, went from this to apartment. Same stuff, different place.
Just Cop a Teal
So, I took a little trip to Plato’s Closet, and as seen of above, I didn’t exactly splurge (or whatever the equivalent is to spending a lot of money at a thrift store), but I did fall in love with what I did purchase.
1. George Dress $8
Since it’s the brand George, I’m pretty sure it’s from Walmart, but honestly, I don’t care. I’ve been wanting a lightweight white summer dress since April. You’d think it’d be simple because what is more simplistic than a white summer dress? but it’s the complete contrary. Why? Mostly because a lot of white dresses don’t have quality lining, so if there’s anything bright or animal print under that cheap fabric, everyone will know. Because this dress comes at the perfect length and has a quality lining I couldn’t help myself. Also, this style and print is super easy to dress up or down.
2. The Loft shirt $10
I swore to myself I’d stop buying button-up shirts, seeing as it’s been apart of my everyday attire for the past three years, but I saw this rich teal 100% Polyester shirt with no snags, no loose threads, and I needed it. Despite the picture making it look sheer, it is actually a thick enough so I won’t have to ever bother with a bandeau or undershirt (blessed be!) It’s so soft and silky, and I absolutely love this green. It’ll be perfect for fall and winter.
3. The Loft modern straight leg $14
Okay, this was a miracle purchase that has a short tale. So, for my birthday two years ago, my father and stepmom took me to the loft just to browse at some of their necklaces and such. Well, I ended up trying on their modern straight leg corduroy and instantly fell in love with them, my legs and bottom have never looked so good in a pants. Also, the corduroy is super thin, so it’s not too warm or anything. I only allowed my dad to buy me two pairs (brown and black) since they were $60. Ever since then, I’ve wished I bought the other colors. (Especially since I’ve worn the other two to the point where the crotch area is basically raw fabric, Haha.) So then, out of nowhere, maybe the blue, maybe from left field, maybe right field, I’m at Plato’s Closet and I see it from across the room, the dark teal modern straight leg corduroy pants from The Loft (that’s a mouthful) Granted, it’s a six, rather than a four like the others, but I think I even rather it that way. It was like the universe was personally speaking to me. It’s gets better, The Loft tags were still on the pants. They were never worn and now they’re all mine for a mere $14. Again, I can’t wait until fall.
- B: What movie are you going to watch?
- A: I'm thinking Blue Velvet.
- B: That's the one about the horse, right?
Rainy Sunday Wants
1. I’d love if someone surprised me with these Precious Planners before school starts.
2. This fruit infused water bottle is too neat, guys.
3. I’d stick these sweet roses on my MacBook.
4. While yes, this dress is taking a plunge and will require a strategic bra, it’s also a nice change of pace from all the high necklines multiplying every second in stores. Another plus? It’s on sale, people.
Which is the killer deal?
- Suspect to the left:
We have Jenni Kayne flats for a mind-altering $495.
- Suspect to the right:
The same style studio flats by Need Supply for $38.
Granted, the Jenni Kayne flats are made from calfskin, but to be frank, I don’t need it. I’m also not at that point in my life where buying a pair of shoes that costs more than my monthly rent is okay. So, clearly…
Need Supply’s deal is killer!
